FOLLOWING recent discussions among club members about different techniques used for lowering off from a sport route, make sure your skills are refreshed and up-to-date before you get out climbing this spring.
The BMC has produced a short film demonstrating current recommended practice for lowering off from a sport route. Two methods are shown, and in each method the climber is never detached from the rope. To view the film and read the technical article, visit this page.
